Dear Parents /Guardians, As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatulah Wa Barakatuhu We would like to welcome back our students to the Islamic School here at Masjid Al-Jamia. We hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for the many positive changes and enhancements we’ve made to our 2017-18 curriculum. We would like to announce open registration will begin October 8th – October 14st for all students both returning and new for the 2017-18 school year. We also would like to invite all parents to the parent orientation that will be on October 21st 2017 at 10:30am-12pm. This is a mandatory meeting for all parents who intend for their children to participate in the school this academic year. No classes will be held on this day for students! This is a meeting for parents. Attendance will be taken!

The purpose of this orientation is to:

• Introduce parents to the education committee, teachers and school.

• Present parents with a welcome packet outlining the school’s calendar, curriculum, polices etc.

• Present the changes to the curriculum.

• Discuss school policies such as, dress code, attendance and school objectives.

As mentioned in the past, we here at Masjid Al-Jamia are dedicated and committed in improving the many services we offer, especially as it pertains to creating and implementing a robust Islamic education for our students. We want to thank parents for their patience and support as we prepare for yet another school year. We believe, you as parents will come to appreciate the continuous improvements and changes we make to better the overall learning experience for our students. As always, we encourage the support of students, parents, teachers and the community in providing a safe, caring learning environment for all who come to the masjid at all times. Please be sure to be on time for the parent orientation as there will be much to discuss and go over. We will have an open discussion with questions and answering at the end. Note: Please complete registration form and enclose payment in the form of cash or check in a sealed envelope and deposit in the masjid mail box located at the outer office door. You can choose to hand deliver to any of the Shurah members.
